In terms of wedding planners. Lovely&Lavish Events is run by two awesome girls from the West Island. They are creative, fun, reliable and reasonably priced. I've worked with them before and was really impressed.

Hi Sabryna. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I'm a wedding photographer and would love to talk to you about your photography/videography needs. I've also been shooting weddings for 8+ years, so I know lots of other great vendors that I can refer. Check out my website at www.creativeperspectives.ca and let me know if you and your fiancé would like to stop by my studio to chat.

IF you're planning on anything less than 75 guests, which seems to be the most common type of weddings these days, screw the planner. They are costly and it is just a big party. Just make a list, and go through it. not really complicated.
Planners are worth it if you are Italian/Greek/etc.. and are intending on inviting half the city plus a quarter of Europe. The logistics become complicated.
We did a wedding for 50. took a nice restaurant downtown which would have been closed on a Saturday noon otherwise. We had the place for free from noon until 6 PM. Chose something from menu, wine, , and that was done. one photographer, one limo, one dress, one suit, one trip. and flowers, don't forget the flowers.
we did our own invitations, and got the church easily enough since it was a 11 AM wedding.
cost about $4750 not counting the honeymoon. No planner could have done that for us. total time it took us? maybe 40 hours of work over 2-3 months.

Skip the notary/lawyer/justice of the peace/religious leader and get an emergency marriage license for a friend (anyone can get it even for non emergencies) or do the city hall thing and then have a friend perform the ceremony. You just saved at least 500 bucks
Hi. I am looking for a wedding planner (mostly for day of) and also to help out with decor ( backdrop for ceremony and reception as well as centrepieces). I've emailed...
Mostly the day of?? Wedding planners usually plan the whole event. That's why they aren't answering. If You're looking for someone on the day of your wedding only, that's not a wedding planner.
