The Animal Welfare League on the Gold Coast and Ipswich have Community Vet Clinicshttp://www.awlqld.com.au/vets/ which may be able to help and also the National Desexing Network have the Gatton UQ on board and are offering great discount desexing prices to concession card holders. You can have your male cat desexed for $25, female cat $55, male dogs (small, medium and large) for $45 and female dogs (small, medium and large) for $60. Procedures will be performed by Senior Veterinary Students under close veterinary supervision. The Vet Teaching Hospital is heavily booked at present but you can have your female cat desexed quickly. Other spaces will be available for male cats and dogs in December. Please apply for a voucher online or contact us on 1300 368 992. If you are applying for a male cat or dog, please do not apply until mid October as our vouchers are valid for two months from issue date. Our website is www.ndn.org.au

Carol Boreham, unfortunately the refuge is not in a position to do desexing of animals not coming through the refuge doors. But definately google the National Desexing Network. They work on a conession card basis and it's year round. There is also 2 vets that I know of that will allow payment plans, Caloundra greencross and Sunshine Beach Vets.
