Childcare Recommendations I know it might be a long shot, but I am in the process of getting my son back, and need to look at childcare for during a normal working day...

What part of the city are you nearest to? I'd hate to recommend W.Fargo childcare if you are in Moorhead :). Quality is key, obviously - but convenience is also a huge benefit.

Not sure if you are going to school, but if you are you can check to see if your University offers childcare or has recommendations. Otherwise, you can contact your county offices for recommendations or financial assistance if you need.

You can call Child Care Aware at 2182997000 and ask for Parent Services. They have staff who will help you find a list of child care options and talk to you about what to look for in a high quality program and also send you out a packet as well with information and resources. They also have websites if you prefer to search online yourself. Www.parentaware.org for MN and www.ndchildcare.org for ND. Also, MN has a licensing lookup online that you can see if a provider has past negative actions. I would also recommend talking to the county licensor as well. Good luck in your search!
@Tami Day... I didn't know Fargo Boarding and Grooming had daycare! I love taking Scout there for boarding. Do you remember the price for daycare?
Tami D. replied:
My dogs are super skiddish. Haven't tried too many places but Fargo Boarding and grooming was BEYOND AWESOME!!! They do boarding and daycare and I was extremely impressed. Prices are reasonable but the care and love they rec'd was most import to me. To see my 11 yr old rescue, who doesn't make new friends very well, jumping up on not 1 but FOUR different people, I was ecstatic!

I would recommend Doggy Depot in South Moorhead, I pick my dog up and she doesn't want to leave!
Hey folks, anyone know of a good (affordable) daycare in the northeast corner of the cities?

I've heard good things about Little Bloomers in Osgood. I'm not sure of the cost or if that's too far away.

It's a center, but we love Weekare ChildKare in south Fargo. Jaiden has been going there since he was 20 months old and my nephew has gone there since he was an infant. Also, it's a little early to be thinking about it, but they do preschool on site and bus kids to select activities in the summer. Home daycares do sometimes have a cost savings, but you are at the mercy of the provider... If they are sick or want a vacation, you have to take time off of work whereas a center is almost always open with the exception of major holidays. Just something to keep in mind...
