Matt the lady doctors at St Jean as above are brilliant and speak English. You end up waiting about an hour after your appointment but that's just because she takes time to go through everything and dosen't rush you. I think mine particular one is Dr Develoux and Comte

www.doctolib.fr is a great site for finding all medical persons. shows you what they charge, if they take the carte vitael and even what languages they speak. some of the Doctors who use the appointment system will allow you to book online too. This saved us over Xmas when our little boy was sick and we didnt want to go to A&E as a simple GP visit was sufficient. If you have a French insurance card (carte vitael) get a mutuel top up. Then you get all your money back - so worth it!

thanks guys. no one died, thankfully, and Dr. Julien was really lovely, though yes, a mighty wait, and a bit pricey...he, on this occasion, was worth it. If I need headache pills I will save on petrol and go to Les Gets!, or try those other guys near AXA. Ta mucho x
