Check also Esperans. www.vk-esperans.ru And ask for Doctor Trapezov. He has a double diploma from Russia and France. He speaks French and a bit of English. and he did wonder with my cats and the cats of my friend last summer. And he really take time with the animals. To examine my 3 cats and the 2 kittens of my friend, he spent 2 hours and a half.

The vet really close to your home is in Yunnatov street, here's their website: http://www.mosk-vet.ru/cont/ They are a pretty straight-forward ugly government-funded clinic, but good enough for the usual stuff. Have been there numerous times with my Lab.

Egads, no. No one would go if those were our prices:) It's about 500-1000 rubles per exam (depending on what you need, so, 10-20 bucks). Simple surgery like neutering is about 100 dollars (give or take). More pricey ones I don't know, but keep in mind a GOOD Moscow salary is like 2000USD, so, charging 5000 USD for a pet procedure would probably mean that noone would get it.

For spaying, contact PAWS in Moscow. Tell them that you took in a stray. The animal clinic down the road from Pets Are People Too in Moscow has a great special for new pet patients...rabies and exam for a very low price.

Animal Clinic is hands down the best in the region. I've been there for everything from routine check ups to having a dog impaled on a stick through the neck, to horses with broken hips. They're amazing vets, techs, they love the animals and treat everyone great without charging you the price of your soul.
