Fratellis and Hogs Breath are good for kids. They both have booths which is nice to keep your kids seated. I would also suggest Bobo's diner on Nepean which isn't fancy but is good tasting food. I would also suggest going anywhere you like but booking early in the evening. We do the 5 pm seating when we go out - usually when on holidays - with Miss 3 and Miss 4 and eat is some very nice places but the couples and older adults don't usually dine that early so we have the place to ourselves. Mambos in Frankston has decent food and a good cocktail list too.
