I went through Larry Langston years ago out of Gastonia...he was great.

Larry Langston apparently is an ex judge himself. So he knows the ins and outs. He knows which judges to get so he gets court dates post poned til he gets the judge he wants. Because he knows what each judge liles and dislikes. However, he's expensive. Just a heads up.

These standards changed in October of 2015, so I can understand your wanting to be sure that the attorney or firm is up to date on TRID Compliance, and may be your reason for wanting to confirm you have an attorney that is. However, by now everyone attorney's and lender's both should be complying with the ALTA Best Practices (American Land Title Association). The CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) can’t police everyone, so they tend to focus on the Lenders. The Lenders will be held strictly liable for violations that result in a loss to the consumer (You). The enforcement mechanism is rather stiff fines. Consequently, the Lenders have to be vigilant. At the end of the day, they are the ones that will be enforcing the standards. If they do not believe a particular attorney is in compliance, I would think that the lender would no longer work with that closing agent. Hope that helps.
