Animal Emergency Centre 97 Carrington Rd 849 2121 is only open weekends, public holidays and after hours. But Vets North does have oncall vets. Worth trying them again.

You might find cheaper but not necessarily as good. Pity Haydon Afford left the area-great advice and reasonable price for great vet care. Some say Swanson Vets but for large and small animal care Vets North is great! Otherwise Hobsonville Vets is good but further away!

Vets North might be more expensive than some, but I trust them implicitly for anything serious. for vaccs and general checkup I go to CareVets in GlenEden, they are fabulous

Will have to be spca. A private vet will require you to pay for it and take responsibility. SPCA are there to pick up injured stray animals such as this and will treat or euth as required. 09 256 7300

Vets North are great, if it's more expensive it means there are more staff in surgery making sure our fur babies are safe...cheaper ones may not have enough skilled people there to ensure safety & quality

Historically Swanson vets have been well priced. Re comparing neuter to Spey - Spey is an full hysterectomy/ abdominal surgery and neuter is literally “just” opening the scrotum and removing their bits. Far less invasive, less time, less risk than a spey.

Dr Bobs is great till u need an after hours vet which is generally when I need one very unreliable had my dog ripped needing stitches very deep cut and got told throw some cream on it bandage it come back tomorrow.Very disappointing but during working hrs I have found them very good
