It's kind of on the south side of town, but I've boarded my dogs at k9 cabana.com. It doesn't look too impressive but they took fabulous care of my dog and he always has a great time there. There's also a Camp Bow Wow in Myrtle Beach, and they always have excellent reviews, although they are pretty pricey (and I am not sure if they will take dogs without an "interview").

I personally feel like you get what you pay for with childcare. Cutie Pies in Surfside is $130/week for infant. Same as the center in Market Common. Weekly rates depend on age. My church has a moms morning out for 8-12 MWF for $180 a month. That's where my 2.5 yr old goes
