Surf Pediatrics is great and we love Dr. Woodson for the entire family as well. There are not any pediatric dentists on the beach if you want a certified pediatric dentist you need to go to Virginia.

And if you go to Virginia for dentist.. Gail Plauka and Associates in Chesapeake is all kids all the time..used to go and they are great. but we LOVE Dr. Downing.

Surf pediatric does accept medicaid. We have seen both dr. Austin and Dr. Holleran at their Kill Devil Hills location and they are wonderful. Dr. Jacobson s on Colington Road is the dentist I saw as a child and still do (I've only ever had 1 cavity in 32 years). My son goes there now too. The whole staff there is awesome and great with little ones. I'm not sure if they are taking new patients now though as their schedule is extremely full.

I don't think Dr. Jacobson's takes Medicaid. I'm not sure though
