I reccomend Dr.Barry Whyte at Atlas chiropractic. He is skilled in different styles of chiropractic and will adjust in the style you're comfortable with. He is also willing to explain the medical science behind his adjustments if you're interested. He has done absolutely miracles with me and I would not trust anyone else.

Knead Therapy has great RMTs, I've also had good chiropractic care at Southgate Chiropractic (Drs. Helmkay and Betts) and Woodgrove Pines (multiple, cannot remember names) depending on your location.

Island Optimal on Rutherford Road. (They have another location as well but I've never been there). The best I've ever been to, Nanaimo or otherwise. http://islandoptimal.com

I'll add a second recommendation for Island Optimal. Specifically Abe Avender if you can see him. The two locations are the top of Rutherford hill, and on Dufferin Avenue by the traffic circle. Both are in the same buildings as the Moksha Yoga studios. They specialize in active release chiropractic (not the neck-cracking kind); as well as massage, physiotherapy, and strength training/conditioning. They seem to have a lot of experience with sports related injuries but do everything. I know Abe works extensively with national level volleyball players.
I've only been twice, both for non-sports related neck/back injuries that were then made worse through sports. Both times I've walked away feeling way better with exercises and advise on how to work on the problem myself. It's nice that they seem to actually want to find a permanent solution.

Avoid chiropractors like the plague, they practice in pseudoscience. Rebound Health Centre is fantastic.

Chiropractor's can be useless, I would try massage. I've honestly felt the $75 I spent for a 2 minute adjustment was not worth it.
