Call Mark E Cain at CSSI 615-860-5600 If you don't use them, be very careful who you do use - as of now, Tennessee doesn't certify mold remediation contractors, so anyone can call themselves one and come spray a bunch of chemicals. Often they do more harm than good, so do your homework before forking over a lot of money

Depending on the mold, type, severity, etc... sometimes especially for the health of people exposed you need more than the ole bleech and scrub brush and doing that can be very dangerous to your own health. For one it is one thing to remove or clean it but you need to insure to completely kill any growth after the cleaning with a microban or something similar. Folks do not take this as serious as should be. Sometimes you have to use professionals especially when it comes to your health. Don't use bleach. Bleach only temporarily retards it. Diluted Peroxide bonds with it and releases nothing but oxygen and kills a wide variety. There are many varieties of black mold. It's NOT something to panic about. That was an old media scare that overwhelmed the public. It's not federally regulated and it can be safely remediated by anyone. You do not need special certifications.
