Margo R. replied:
Ladies, just wanted to let you know that there is a PreK program at East Cheatham. Emily Staggs is over the PreK program for the county. You can reach her at the Board of Education. The only Head Start program in the county is in Ashland City behind the board of education
Margo R. replied:
You're welcome! I'm not 100% positive about this but I think a child has to be 4 yrs old by August 15 to be age eligible for PreK. But definitely call the board to be sure. Head Start accepts 3 & 4 year olds so we are also another option! We would love to give you a tour or answer any of your questions about our program! Stop by and see us!

Kristin, we do! Children can attend as few as 2 days or as many as 5 days per week, and tuition is based on the number of days that a child attends. Feel free to call me at 883-3833 and we can talk about our program!

HUM School. All of my kids started there in the one's MDO program. The 3's and 4's programs are actually accredited through the state. We have been beyond happy with them and would recommend the school to anyone. Not sure if we have any openings now, but you could Sharon and ask.

My daughter currently goes to the Pre-K program at Rutland (and not every school in Wilson County has a Pre-K program in its building). The 1 st priority is given to families who meet the income guidelines (low income families). I honestly do not know what that income level is, but I'm sure you can look it up or contact Denise McMillian, Pre-K Coordinator for Wilson County, for more information. Going to Round-Up this Friday at Charlie Daniels Park will give you a source of info. Anyway, you can message me and I can give you Denise's number. Second priority for enrollment goes to children who have an IEP, children who are in state custody (foster care), children who has English as a Second Language, and children who has a deployed parent or active duty military (which is where we fall). IF there are spots left, I believe it might be a first come first serve basis. I've been told that usually spots do fill up and many are put on a waiting list.
