My third contractor, John Amabile did ours (732) 433-3160. I know what you mean. John is helping us out tremendously by repairing the shoddy work performed by Bob Lewis, our second contractor who abandoned our rebuild. Give John a call. I worked with him in Old Bridge. He retired from Code Enforcement. I wish I had found him from the very beginning!

George Kasimos-stopFemanow Filing for a LOMA. Senior development. No mortgage and not being asked to carry flood. A handful of homes in the development were taken from x and put into AE7. I have been advised to make the small fix and apply for LOMA bc rest of house is above 7 on current flood elevation certificate. We have until end of June. Inbox or call me for further details.

Most towns you cannot change the grading around your house significantly in any way that would cause changes in the flow of storm water runoff from your property or flood water flow that could affect adjacent properties unless you submit a sealed engineering change of grading plan showing how the flow of water is being directed off your property. For example in Monmouth Beach you would need to file a Land Disturbance Permit Here is what our town has in the ordinances 4. When any person/entity introduces onto any property fill material in any quantity or in any manner which has or may have the effect of altering the existing grade to cause or increase the runoff of stormwater onto adjoining property. It shall be the responsibility of the property owner to notify the Borough Construction Official of any fill proposed to be introduced. Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, in this instance the Borough Construction Official may require, in lieu of a drainage plan, a certification from a licensed engineer that the introduction of such fill will not adversely effect the existing drainage pattern and/or exacerbate existing flooding conditions or stormwater runoff to adjoining properties. Notwithstanding this subsection, no permit shall be required for landscape mulching or treatments which do not alter the existing grade so that additional stormwater runoff is generated to adjoining property owners.
