I got a direct bolt in replacement, all stainless from autopartswarehouse.com $160. About $15 for gaskets. You can get ones for half that but they are "universal" and require some cutting and clamps, or welding them in, About 3 yrs ago I got the muffler and tailpipe, also direct bolt in with all the proper hangers attached, etc..

Cool, John. Thanks. Do you use autopartswarehouse.com for most truck parts?

depending on the mileage on your vehicle, the check engine light will come on as a way to get your car into the dealer. on my van it comes on sometimes because the gas cap is not seated correctly! I second the idea about going to Auto Zone or Pep Boys.
Anybody drive a Ford Focus? My mechanic says it's a good car but he hates the Ford company. Looks like I'm getting a good deal on at 2007 with 55,000 miles. Got to have...
Steve C. replied:
I just checked Consumer Reports, and they list the reliability of the 2007 Focus to be average. I personally wouldn't buy a Focus. I've heard and read things over the years about their unreliability. Nothing terrible, mind you, but still not all that encouraging. I've only had one Ford myself, a '98 Ford Contour that used to give me all kinds of problems with water pumps, and, with only 65,000 miles on it, drives like an even older car than it is. On the other hand, my 2004 Toyota Matrix, with 130,000 miles, has never had even a hiccup and still has a taut feel to it when I drive it. Consumer Reports lists the reliability of all 2007 Toyotas to be good to excellent (and the same applies to Hondas). Conversely, it rates most domestic models from those years in the fair to lousy range. Yes, you probably couldn't get as good a deal on a used Toyota or Honda as you can on a Ford or other brand of car, but if reliability is important to you and you can afford it, I'd strongly recommend trying to get a used Toyota (Corolla, Matrix, Camry) or Honda (Civic, Accord) that your mechanic says is in good shape.
Wow I messed up today, was supposed to go into my mechanic today much earlier to get my abs light turned off and I over slept. Trying to take care of my car's way...

Nope. Check Engine light is all that matters. But like is said there could be a "Soft Code" or a Readiness Code that will cause a Failure but not throw the light. I use to know ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL The tricks too lol
