Take the money your parents are willing to donate and what you have saved for this wedding and elope. Find jobs, used the saved money to purchase a home..

I did a tasting for the wedding package at The Grand in poughkeepsie and it was inedible. Ended up going for Stonehedge in West Park for half the price and better food. A lot fewer options, but much better quality.

catering facilities can give you an all in one price. Christo's in addition to some of the other ones mentioned.

Lola’s Cafe is good and they are in Poughkeepsie & New Paltz. Creekside Catering in New Paltz is a really good place but can be expensive. The Big Cheese in Rosendale does catering on the cheap. Main Course in New Paltz is also great food

Whoever you call, you're not "planning a wedding", you're just catering a party. Throwing the word "wedding" in there means an immediate upcharge.

The meals at the Bistro in New Paltz have been good. I haven't tried their catering though. [https://mainstreetbistro.com/catering/](https://mainstreetbistro.com/catering/)

I no longer live up in the area, but I still visit sometimes and I enjoy the food at [River Station](https://riverstationrest.com/luncheon/). Their soups are really good, too.

Does it have to be in the Hudson Valley? My recommendation is plan an April wedding in the morning session, it will be the cheapest. The eagles Nest in Pine Bush is really nice and has a beautiful view. I believe it is affordable as much as a wedding is affordable.

Had my wedding in High Falls, NY in Sept 2018. Shout out to Frank at Crested Hen Farm (our venue) for an AMAZING Day. Anyway, we used Hickory BBQ and smokehouse. Really nice people, super down to earth. If you are okay with doing home-style, serve yourself meals then you really can't go wrong. Extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Good luck and Congratulations! EDIT website would prob help. [http://www.hickoryrestaurant.com/](http://www.hickoryrestaurant.com/) EDIT 2 Came out to \~$45/head

Had my wedding reception at Novella's in New Paltz - there was an option for a buffet including open bar for $85 per person, 75 person minimum on a Friday. The food was good, and it was a great deal because pretty much everything was included. Add a 20% service fee plus 8% tax to the charges, though.
anyone knows any Filipino store who does catering?
