Find sign making shops and see if they’ll sell to you. Companies like inventables or makerstock sell stuff too.

If you are looking for something environmentally friendly you can look for [Greencast Acrylics](http://www.greencastus.com/). It's 100% recycled.
Aliens_Unite replied:
See if you can find a plastic supplier. There’s a plastic supplier near my house and they have a scrap bin in the front that is always full and they charge like a buck a pound. It’s amazing.
mr_seymour_asses replied:
Check out Acme Plastics (NJ based, but national distribution) and possibly Outwater Plastics. Acme is fantastic and they carry many different varieties, colors, and sizes. If you're not looking for large sheets, you can get 12"x12" or 12"×24" sheets of colored and clear acrylic through Amazon.

Does anyone have a go-to place for fresh straw for feral shelters? I have one in my yard but I need to change out the straw/hay for the season. I tend to travel all over...
Kerry M. replied:
I know straw is used for shelters. I've had one for the past 10 years at least. I am in QUeens, but as I said, I travel all over the Island for work. So if you have any spot that supplies it or sells it, do let me know. I have gone to the QUeens Farm Museum in the past and they do have it but it is always a bit tricky.

Chris and I have a rubbermade structure now we just need hay which no hardware store has. Maybe tinsel would be a good insulator? Making feral cat house.

Elizabeth Champ: We used the clothing only for last night and tomorrow. We will swap out with the straw once it arrives in on Thursday. I definitely listened and learned on this post and will make sure to set the cat shelters up correctly.

Anyone know of a paint store/hardware store in Inwood?
Arlene S. replied:
The paint store on Broadway and 215 is closed. It's now B&H Framing - great there! I usually wind up at Home Depot for paint but I would try the place that Clay Ruede mentioned.
Donna D. replied:
NHS Hardware at 4476 Broadway has Benjamin Moore. They're open until 7, and 10-5 tomorrow. I know because I just left there.
Was there a hardware store in Cambria Heights called Rolly's? Anyone remember??? Rolly's may have been A to Z later on.
Ed S. replied:
There was a Hardware Store on Springfield Blvd near 113 th Dr. Not sure of the name but it was a memorable place with wood floors and shelves filled with stuff. I recall being there many times with my father during the 60's.
Denise B. replied:
Just realized that I forgot to use my maiden name. I am Denise Zaraska (now Buenning), I lived on 232 Street between 114 th and 115 th. I went to Sacred Heart between 1960 and 1968, Sister John Anthony was principal. Does anyone remember the ice cream/soda shop that was on Linden Blvd.@224 th Street? I think it eventually turned into a carpet and flooring shop. I also remember the Bohack grocery store down in that area; there was a Grand Union also at@230 th Street that was turned into the post office. There was a German deli the next street up from A to Z that had the best potato salad ever.
I need to get my window screens repaired. Does anyone know who does them cheap? The hardware store wants $15 each. I would like to get them fixed cheaper than that....
