Does anyone know what this building was originally used as? It's next to Murphey Florist.
Rick M. replied:
Barron Tire.
Lynne A. replied:
I think it was part of Western Auto used as storage or overrun.
James T. replied:
When Barron Tire was on the square, this was where they installed the new tires on the cars. Probably served a similar purpose later for Western Auto.
Frank S. replied:
Mr Hudson sold Kelly Tires and this was the work area for changing tires. Mr Hudson also owned the building that Murphey Florist is now in. The tires were stored in back area of the now Murphey Florist building. In the front Mr. Hudson had furniture. I changed tires there one summer in 1979.
