Congrats! This is a big step and I wish you the best of luck. You are on the right track already when considering to speak to a lawyer BEFORE expanding your bsuiness. It is of the utmost importance that you are fully aware of the laws in the state you practice, in this case, MA. Here is a link to an article that can provide some very relevant information about your determination when classifying your workers. You don't have as much of a choice as you may think. That said, you should factor the cost of employee payroll taxes into your calculations when determining compensation and pricing startegies.
