Anyone got leads on a reasonably priced, proper cheese shop? Specifically looking for Swiss cheese.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to share your knowledge. It looks like Bon Repas is the place to go.

Not Osaka (but Kobe) ...only Japanese but you might find something on English websites http://www.angiolino-kobe.com
Jeff S. replied:
Bon Repas can be pricey: look at the bargain cheeses they have for the day (sale dates) A place called Fromage near Tanimachi/Keihan Temmabashi Station is good too and lots of rare cheeses
Shorinji O. replied:
Downstairs Takashimaya, a shop with HUGE WHEELS of cheese. Go in however loaded for bear and prepared to hold up the place; you wont come out of there with any cheese without resorting to the above methods

I love Ai Cheese. They'll cut it from the wheel, block, or whatever they have for you in any amount you want. Tons of variety, and not all the usual itty bitty pieces pre-vacuum sealed (though they do offer those as well, for convenience!) Little tiny shoutengai shop in an out of the way place (it's near Sumiyoshi Taisha, roughly). The owner is super friendly. Just take a look at their site to see their specials! Prices are listed, so you can get an idea of what you'll be shelling out before potentially wasting a visit. No visit to Ai Cheese is wasted, though. Ever. ;) Even sale bits have a good shelf life left on them! http://www.aicheese.net

http://s.tabelog.com/osaka/A2701/A270104/27019548/ Not cheap (though you can really score on cheeses near the official expiry date), but awesome selection by people who really know their cheeses. Costco doesn't always have Swiss cheese. Their stock changes all the time, and at the Amagasaki one you'll mostly hard cheese made in NZ (cheddar, mozzarella, monterey jack), soft cheeses from France (brie, camembert) and other Italians (mozzarella, parmesan). Chada nailed it saying it never gonna be cheap in Japan...
Giuliano G. replied:
cheap, gonna be difficult but there is a shop in Umeda station that offers a lot of cheeses. http://www.seijoishii.co.jp/shop/osaka/id_0001.html Also look downstairs in hankyuu department, dont expect anything cheap there either though
