I know people have asked about doctors, but have not seen one for an allergist. Any thoughts/opinions on an allergist? I had one for most of my life and she is...

Dr David she is amazing

Dr. David is a very tiny asian woman who is great as an allergist. Thanks to her I finally found out that the reason I get blisters all over my body when i'm out in the sun or using aloe vera, is because I am sensitive to the sun, or just moderately allergic.

Dr. David was the best! However, I guess she cannot work forever. She was from the Phillipines. I remember she used to go home for am month in February. Knew her stuff. Good to hear nice stuff about Dr. Kumar (since my doc is leaning this way). Also, downtown is a good place to see a doc.

There is a new Allergist at the Manitoba Clinic, her name is Dr. Drewniak. My son just saw her and she was fantastic. Was able to get in within the month as she is building her client base. I was told otherwise it could take up to a year to get him in.

Just a thought...maybe try a Homeopathic Dr for allergies. The Nature Doctor's on Waverley are great!!

I work at a doctors office.....we refer most of our pt's to Dr. C. Hicks.
Crystal D. replied:
I have seen Dr Hicks since I was young. Love her! (Winnipeg clinic)
Erin H. replied:
May I ask who you were seeing? As for adult allergists, Dr Kalacinsky or Dr Warrington (both at HSC but very busy) are good. Dr Hicks at the Winnipeg clinic, Dr Kumar is also at the winnipeg clinic I think...
Colleen W. replied:
I saw Dr. David for years at the Winnipeg Clinic. She is the reason I am not afraid of needles.
Colleen W. replied:
Think my doc mentioned Dr. Kumar, but just wanted to check with people. You know how docs always send you to friends. I don't want to waste time on a doc who does not listen, you know? That happened to me at the Pan Am once. They referred me to a surgeon that worked from there and I could never ask him questions. If I have to wait, I would like it to be for a good doc.
Colleen W. replied:
Thanks! Hey, my doc knows better. But how he relates as a peer can be different as to how the doc relates to a patient. Warnings can be good. We just need somebody to get the allergies under control, even if it is one visit with a suggestion for shots (not sure if docs do them anymore, but Dr. David was going to do them on me again) and what the make up would be. My doc could even do the shots if we got an Rx.

Dr. Warrington at HSC is awesome

Dr. Roberts is amazing! I can't remember the name of the clinic she's in but it's just south of St. Vital mall.
