We used Dr Pepper Martin, when we lived in Norman, but when we moved back he didn't take our insurance so we went to Dr Massengale and he was ok except he scheduled my hubby for a surgical procedure and when we got there he couldn't do it and apologized because he forgot to call to let us know! We didn't feel like he was very professional! We go to Dean McGee now!

Normanites - I need to schedule an eye appointment. Anyone have a suggestion for an optometrist in the area?

The one in the mall is decent, and once you have your numbers you can go to zennioptical.com. I got pure titanium glasses for like 25-30.

Okay Facebook friends, I know where to go for dental work. How about any good optometrists? Really need to get my eyes checked. Man, having insurance is great!
Sally V. replied:
I use Dr Flax and really like him.
Venita M. replied:
Dr. Flax and Dr. Martin are in the same office and are great! (and be careful, not every eye doctor in Norman accepts insurance)
Brenda W. replied:
I would recommend Dr. Flax. I have been going to Dr. Martin for years, but have begun having trouble getting accurate prescriptions. Seems like I have to go back two or three times to get contacts that I can actually read with.

Dr. Flax. Love him!
Sharon G. replied:

I love Kimberly Wise - if she is taking new patients. She takes my insurance.

I use Pearle Vision in Norman across from Super Target. He's up on the latest info and with my particular history - very thorough. Peace of mind. Reasonably priced also. (I do have vision insurance- not everything covered)
