Honestly, when we moved to our new house it was infested and we called Big Blue bug and they just set traps and told us to seal all the holes where they are getting in. We paid a lot of money and could have just set traps ourselves. They can fit through tiny holes they were getting into our house through the hole next to the air conditioner pipe. We sealed put steel wool in the hole ( apparently they can chew through that).

Dollar Store for a bag of snap mouse traps. Use small amount of peanut butter for bait. They work well. Mice run in pairs and seek the warmth of the house this time of year
Exterminator recommendations? We have a squirrel in our attic
Arianna M. replied:
Please call the Wildlife Clinic at 401.294.6363. We can provide you with information to humanely exclude that animal without resorting to lethal methods. Plus our advice and methods will save you money and his life. We can also rent you a humane trap. All critter control companies euthanize the animals they trap unless the home owner allows the animal to be released on site, pursuant to state law. You will also need to identify where the animal is coming and going from and correct that problem. If you don't, you will keep having this issue.

This is the time they're looking to make nests and have their babies. I had been leaving my garage door open a bit for a stray cat to get in out of the horrible weather we were having about 5 years ago and a squirrel took advantage of it and found a way to get into my attic thru the garage. I used Precision Wildlife and they were great. I actually discovered myself where the squirrel was getting in and once she was out (safely) and released on my property I was able to block the access. http://www.precisionwildlife.com/wildlife-removal/squirrel-removal
