We put in a vinyl plank floor in both our kitchen/breakfast room, and our rental condo in Branson. The name of the stuff is Konecto. Here's the link: http://www.konectousa.com/ So far, it has held up like iron (we've had it in since December 2008). We bought ours from Community Floors in Wentzville. It looks like wood, but needs no refinishing, can handle water on it (like any vinyl floor) and feels great on my bare feet. It's very easy to clean (I just mop with water), and goes over an existing vinyl floor. Everybody who comes in to our home thinks it's a wood floor, but it's not. I have loved this stuff and it was cheaper than laminate.
