Riverside Grille on Melton Lake Drive. It is great!!!

Since you asked for family or independent, I highly recommend Riverview Grill on Oak Ridge Hwy on the way to Clinton. I happen to perform there on Saturday nights with a James Taylor, Eagles type music. Always great fun and the food is awesome. I would recommend Riverview even if I didn't perform there.

Welcome to Oak Ridge. Since you're new to town you should definitely try Big Eds Pizza and the Soup Kitchen. Both in the Jackson Square area. Both of them have been around for a long time.

Razzleberry Lab is my favorite. The proprietor is Polish I believe and the food is as close to home cooked as I've found in a local restaurant. I appreciate Big Eds as a local business, but don't care for the pizza at all.
