Santos has 80+ miles of singletrack (but who's counting ) and is an IMBA Broze level Ride Center. 2 LBS's near the trailhead rent bikes. http://www.greenwaybikeshop.com/ and http://santosbikeshop.com/

Check out Orange Cycle in College Park. Your one stop shop for gear and directions.

Other options for you would be. Snowhill Little Big Econ (they also have a fb page), it is east of Orlando. Mostly flat'ish (even by Fla standards) through pine scrub, but is fun. Not sure of close by rentals .... and Mt. Dora (NW of Orlando) small but excellent trail with a lot of elevation given size of system. As a side benefit for the family .... Mt Dora is a very cool little town.
Are there any local bike shops that carry the pin that goes in the bike rack? I lost the pin. Dick's where I bought it doesn't have them. It's a Bell bike rack.
Larry H. replied:
Christina DeZago Demonbreun .... if you are referring to the "pin" that goes in your vehicles hitch receiver, through the rack and out the other side of the receiver ..... those can be found most anywhere that has towing / hitch supplies. Including, Wallyworld, hardware stores, auto parts stores. You do have to get the correct size (diameter) ..... I suggest an auto parts store as you can ask one of the people working there to have a look at the hitch / rack and get you the proper size pin.

Any tips or suggestions for a party of 3 biking from Santos bike shop to the land bridge? One advanced and two beginners
.. renting one bike brought 2. Tia
Larry H. replied:
Take the marked "Epic" trail. It will be fine for all riders and will take you directly (pretty much) to the Land Bridge and back. The carsonite trail markers will have a round green "Epic" sticker with a directional arrow. You can also find trail maps ()if the bike shop does not have them) of the Epic ride (and all of the trails in the Santos System) at ..... omba.org
