I had a similar situation. I was quoted 10 k to repair some of the water damaged furniture that I didn't want to part with. Obviously I was sticker shocked and called Nordin Cabinets ( family owned from OP) and he couldn't believe my quote and said it would cost $700 approx. to clean it up with a solution to prevent further issues. What I'm assuming is these businesses think our insurance will cover it all so are shooting for the stars. Getting multiple quotes is the obvious lesson learned!
