Although you can save money, many of the of Banks and Lenders are not letting homeowners General Contract their own houses anymore . They used to allow it often.

I highly recommend Tom Miller of CFS construction. Quality builder and great customer service. He is the only builder I would consider. I agree with Dave Jones - the subs can make of break a builder. Tom uses quality subs. He build our first house in 1997 at ABTB. He did an addition on the same house in 2001 and has built our second home in 2004.

East Bay Homes.....Brian McGregor.....they include many options, that you pay for with other builders, in their homes. They build beautiful custom homes and have built many homes in the RBYCC. Their offices are in the circle on Rehoboth Ave, across from 7-11

Garrison Homes builds larger homes.....3 story....we have several on my street and one going up now. Geo-thermal heating and air. Quality construction, but their homes tend to be high-end. Also. be sure to seriously consider a well for irrigation with an outside faucet for the hose. Get away from Tidewater.

Send them in to talk to my husband, Charlie Joseph, at Quality Roofing Supply. He's sold building materials to both builders and homeowners in the area for many, many years; so he knows the inside scoop--LITERALLY--good and bad. He's seen it all. He won't tell you the bad, but will give you names of several good, reliable builders to consider. Also ask plumbers, electricians and roofers. If, when you ask a bunch of people who are knowledgeable, the same few names keep popping up, it's likely those are the names good builders.
