I did read two "articles" (likely paid advertising disguised as articles) that stated USC was the only accredited program, but I think that is false (unless I am missing something?).

There are many that are accredited. That may have been true years ago but not now. I attend Boston University online and do feel that it's preparing me. I do find my own field placements but it's honestly been better that way.
