Morning Star!!! Montrose Vet is a rip, and their customers service is horrible.

Don't go to Morning Star! Took my dog there to have his teeth cleaned, went to pick him up.......he was dead. We use Montrose Vet

I recommend Renee Rumrill at Alta Vista. She is very thorough and honest. Her prices are very fair. She gives you options, recommendations and costs and you can decide what you think is best as the owners. She is very flexible and easy to talk to. She spends a lot of time in the room with clients. Dr Hooley is wonderful as well. I've known her since I was 14. She responds to emergencies promptly and she's very charismatic. I also really like Dr Rachel at Montrose Vet. And animals do sometimes have complications under surgery. I doubt any death is entirely the vets fault. If you have surgery done on your pet, get bloodwork done first. It's a life saver. I've seen it numerous times.

Morning Star vet has been the best vet I have EVER had. I love Doc Hooley!
We like San Juan Veterinary Clinic, and I've heard a lot of good things about Dr. Hooley at Morningstar Veterinary Clinic also. Hope this helps

I need to take one of my fur-babies to the vet, but they want payment up front... Anybody know of any vets that would see her and let me make payments? Please help!
Cindy H. replied:
You could try getting a care credit card. I use it at the vets for my animals. Easy to qualify and I bet Dr Shull's office has info.

Montrose Vet Clinic lets me make payments for our furbabies!

She has been keeping weight off of a back leg since before thanksgiving... I called Montrose Vet yesterday and asked them what they thought it could be and she said it sounds like she may have torn a ligament and may need surgery or a strict kennel rest for a few weeks, so I needed to get her in but then she told me I had to pay up front...
Amanda B. replied:
The other issue with taking her to another vet, she's due for atleast her rabies shot and I know the other vets here in Montrose won't take her in until I take her to Montrose Vet for the shot.... If I'm going to Montrose vet for a shot I would just stay there for everything else, but I can't pay now. That is the only reason I am not dropping everything and taking her in right now
