Looking for a bakery for my son's first birthday Hey everyone! I'm looking for a great bakery (or baker) in the Olympia or Lacey area that is reasonably priced. I will...

I LOVE the Bearded lady. They can do a great vegan cake, gluten free or possibly other considerations if you need to please a crowd that may have allergies. They also do a traditional cakes, ice cream and other pastries. They aren't open mondays or tuesday and usually close a bit early (I think 3 pm). Maybe go in for a treat to check it out!

Two of my favorites. They will cater to dietary restrictions. [Bearded Lady](http://beardedladyfood.weebly.com/) [8 Arms Bakery](http://8 armsbakery.com/)

Safeway and Haggen both do custom cakes and don't cost an arm and a leg. Check out the yellow pages and make some phone calls so you don't pay too much.

Wagners bakery downtown is a great spot. A little spendier but worth it in my book. And of course you always have your in store bakeries at your local grocery store :-/
Cuban Bread in Olympia Are there any stores or bakeries in the area where I can find legit Cuban bread?

I’m from Tampa and haven’t seen a legit Cuban sandwich or Cuban bread anywhere in Washington since I got here two years ago.

Call Los Amigos on Lacey Blvd. they have a great Mexican bakery - ask what they can do.

Your best best is the San Francisco Street Bakery. It's probably *not* on their menu, but I bet they'd make it as a special order. Because they are straight up awesome.

Actual Cuban here from Miami. You will not find Cuban bread here. Westside tavern has a Cuban sandwich that’s pretty dope but it’s more like a medianoche.

Highly unlikely.

I’d say ask the taco trucks. They get it for their cubano tortas.
