I really like working with Mykala Hansen. She's a CPA and has saved me a ton of money over the years. I got a letter from the IRS saying I owed like $2K more in taxes that was mostly incorrect and she helped me get it down to $300. The mistake was mine before I started working with her and she helped me with it for free. mykala@thomasthomascpa.com She does 3 businesses and personal taxes for us.
CPA recommendations? Does anyone have CPA they recommend that charges reasonable fees for tax prep & some advice? I've done some google searching but I'd rather get a...

If it's just a tax return, you may want to consider checking out an Enrolled Agent. Enrolled Agents are going to be pretty much as qualified as CPA's on the tax side. Unless their billable rates or whatever are going to be the same, I honestly wouldn't recommend a CPA unless you have back end bookkeeping work that needs to be done first. I worked at CPA firm out of college and know for a fact that a lot of firms give a bulk of their 1040's to the interns or new staff accountants anyways. You likely end up paying a ton of money for a CPA to prepare your return, when they might just look at it for a few minutes. http://www.irs.gov/Tax-Professionals/Enrolled-Agents/Enrolled-Agent-Information http://www.naea.org/
