Adult and Pediatric urology is a really good set of Doctors. I would start with them. Their office is at Bergan Mercy in omaha.

My son is having a surgery for an un-descended testicle. Dr Trainer at the Adult and Pediatric Urology office. They also have an office next to Lakeside Hospital. My cousin's son went there and he wasn't circed either. She gave Dr. Trainer great reviews and so far so do I.:)

We use Dr. John Donovan at Children's. He's also at the Urology Center on 90 th Street (near Dodge). Our daughter is seeing him so I can't speak to how open he is re: circ/non-circ'd boys but he has been very open about letting us choose the best route for our daughter's care. He provides us with options and we choose. People from all over the midwest travel to see him. He is very highly regarded. It might take some time to get in though but if you are persistent and keep calling back hoping to take advantage of someone's cancellation, you'll have luck, I bet. That's what we did.

We saw Dr Richardson at the urology center....he did his residency with Dr Donovan. He was really open about our options (this was my daughter so no circ issues) he spent a ton of time with us and he has small kids so I imagine he would be more empathetic than most. Had no issues with our parenting choices...would def recommend him. Hang in there, you are a good mama!

A friend from church's son is a urologist, I honestly don't know his stance on anything but if I had to trust my child with somebody I would trust him. I work for Boystown and we see this all the time! We work with the doctors from the adult and pediatric urology/urogynecology office on 108 th and Pacific (Dr. Trainer, deSouza, Horgan, and Bolte are absolutely amazing!!) Recovery is very minimal, he will have some burning with urination but may not even be as bad as what he is having now from the stenosis. They will give him a topical numbing cream before and sometimes during to help with the pain. He will probably go home with a prescription for lortab also to help the pain which should only be a few days. It's really not a huge surgery as had as it sounds the doctors are very good at what they do and they'll make him comfortable as possible. We used Dr. Donovan to correct my son's bilateral hydrocele (nothing to do with stream, but still part of his reproductive system) and he was wonderful. Very kind and caring, and really knows his stuff. He is at Children's Hospital. I am also a surgical nurse, and we do procedures on kids. Just be honest with him a few days before surgery, let him know it may be uncomfortable, but that you will have medicine. Be encouraging, and let him know it is not his fault. Good luck!

Dr John Donovan at The Urology Center. We have had 3 surgeries and have 1 more next month. We had a crazy experience and I asked if there was another urologist town for a second opinion. Our pediatrician told us he is the best in the area. My boys don't have the same condition as your son but recovery was quick and pretty painless. Childrens staff is amazing.

Kind of related, but the tactic came from past experience....our Great Dane deals with incontience and got frequent UTIs. We've been putting cranberry capsules in her food for over three years now and no incidences since. It comes in many different formats. I get mine from Iherb.com

Sometimes chronic infections are a sign that there is too much inflammation in the body and the immune system is weakened. Our daughter ended up getting deflux surgery due to us not wanting her on medication until she's 6. Dr Brett Hill at the urology center off 90 th dodge was amazing. She never had another uti. You may get a second opinion on the abnormalities. It seems weird that she would continue to get them. I feel your pain. It is awful to see them go through that.

We saw Dr Donovan at Children's urology in omaha a few months ago and we were very happy with him. I was pretty worried going into our appt but I was very pleased with the outcome.

I believe there is only 1 pediatric urologist in Omaha (if I remember correctly he also does work in Lincoln). Dr. Donovan is his name at the Urology Center on 90 th Street. He's very highly regarded.

I second John Donovan. He did my sons distal hypospadias and was great, no problems.
