The main risks of chiropractic manipulation is vertebral artery dissection leading to stroke-type symptoms or cauda-equina syndrome. Both not good! However, like any medicine, surgery, etc....everything has risks. As with any physician, go to someone whose credentials are legit and people you trust have had good experiences with. Palmer is a good school to my knowledge! I definitely would look into a DO that does OMM. They have a medical school education so are trained to look at both sides if things. Should anything go wrong you are in good hands too! Chiropractors still fall into the alternative medicine category. There just isn't all the research available as there is for allopathic medicine for that reason, but it's getting better. Just be informed! Sorry again if I started a war...promise I did not mean too!! Chiropractors definitely have a role in medicine; we should all just know the risks as well.

I can say that I believe because I have seen a huge difference in my son Ryan after seeing a Chirio (Dr Spring ) for migraine headaches. After MD visits, ER trips and "drugs" he has gotten a lot of relief after going to have an adjustment..must be something to it. Frequency and severity are down and drug free.
