It's worth paying the going rate to have it done correctly, in a clean shop, with sterile implements, by a trained piercer who will be there when you have questions afterwards. Jake Wesley Hunter is/has/does all of those at his shop, Heart & Soul. My piercing is over five years old, and I still go back for help with jewelry. He's amazing.
