My fam just did the big trip home to Adelaide (Willunga) for summer holidays from Oslo and we flew with Emirates through Dubai, Emirates are fantastic with kids (my boy slept nearly 20 hours solid at 35,000 feet and only cried on the second takeoff from Dubai because of the engines because he was trying to get back to sleep). I cannot recommend the airline enough. With that route you only have one stopover in Dubai so its easy on the jetlag. We booked through parents and Flight Centre, but multiple options exist with that as previously suggested momondo, skyscanner etc exist but my experience says go with an agent so you have a contact person for the trip to ask about the itinerary, especially with kids on the trip and an overnight stay on the cards.
