you don't want to reinstall windows on top of a broken windows installation anyway. a straight reformat (booting directly from the USB stick) is the best way to go. the "let's get connected" loop is most likely just windows not properly installing your LAN/WLAN driver (or other system/chipset driver) properly to get connected to the internet (you can usually bypass this). i can do it for $100 if you have a windows 10 key, or $125 if you need me to crack windows using a personal km server to activate it for free.

I don't have any recommendations. However, I have a funny story. My friend's computer got a Chinese porn virus, where Chinese porn would keep popping up on his computer. He said it was kind of cool at first but it was interfering with his work. So he brought it to a shop and the guy working there said "we're going to enjoy fixing this one". Obviously he was creeped out haha

I always recommend http://billanddave.ca/ when this sort of question comes up. I took my Macbook Pro to them awhile back because my display went all wonky. Instead of charging me hundreds of dollars to fix it, they told me it was a recall issue and Apple would fix it for free. Honesty and integrity counts for a lot!

I'd honestly only go to Canada computers. But before you do try using a different hard drive connected by itself and see if that works.

Honestly with the rebates from the government right now, it would be cheaper to replace the window. At the moment you get $500 back for up to 10 windows. I guarentee any reputable contractor will charge roughly $500 or more to replace, prime and paint any rot around your windows. IMO you should look into the cost of both options sooner rather than later because this rebate won't last long. Best of luck.

Section 73 states in S 73(3): "No person shall drive on a highway a motor vehicle on which the surface of the windshield or any window to the direct left or right of the driver's seat has been coated with any coloured spray or other coloured or reflective material that substantially obscures the interior of the motor vehicle when viewed from outside the motor vehicle." Nowhere in the Highway Traffic Act does it state what is an acceptable percentage. The following tests have been applied by the members of the Traffic Services Branch / Durham Highway Patrol to determine whether or not the applied colour coating is too dark, and have been accepted by the courts within our jurisdiction: Unable to determine: 1) if driver or passengers are wearing their seatbelt assemblies. 2) race of the occupants of the motor vehicle 3) gender of the occupants of the motor vehicle 4) number of occupants The Justices of the Peace within the Region of Durham have stated during their rulings when accepting the officer's evidence and giving a finding of guilt, that the colour coating creates an unsafe traffic stop and situation for an officer when he/she are uable to see inside the vehicle especially during the evening hours. The windshield, front driver's door to the extreme left of the driver and the front passenger's door, to the extreme right of the driver are what apply when dealing with Section 73 of the HTA. Our officers recommend that they should not be colour coated.
