I always thought parallax was the way of referring to how the background works (like on iOS 7 for instance). It makes me go a bit woozy! Billy Ryan was just looking for theme ideas. It might be a simple thing but always like to give the client the 'wow factor' whenever possible.

You might like the Genesis Pro Pack (affiliate: http://www.narrowbridge.net/genesis). That gives you something like 50 child themes to use as much as you want as a developer. I have it and use those for 99% of my projects.
