I can not find a pediatrician that will see Hailey!! She is either too old or they r not taking new patients or do not accept chip. Very frustrated! Any suggestions?
Jennifer J. replied:
I know a lot of pediatrician's will only accept babies. Sophie's pedi is also a family doctor and is usually accepting new patients. You might try him. Dr. Tomlinson. Www.rivervalleymedicine.com 304-424-4650 I don't know if they take CHIPS. ...See More
Janet M. replied:
I take mine to Russel Miller 304-422-6682 He was my doctor when I was little and has been all four of my kids' since birth.
Teeva R. replied:
Thank u all so much. I will try to get in touch with these docs tomorrow and see what I can do. However, if Dr. Miller is the one with the office on Garfield, I will not go to him. I had the girls with Dr. Miller and he was horrible!
Lora G. replied:

Good morning ladies - we moved here from Texas this weekend. Before I could get a new doctor for my kids, my 10-month-old woke up with a fever this morning...I need...
Shannon W. replied:
If u can go to Marietta or belpre I would suggest doing at Marietta hospital is so so much better. I take my kids to Dr Ohly he is great. I moved here from Chicago a few years ago and it a very hard adjustment to doctors around here. Good luck and welcome
Stacey E. replied:
We have been to almost all of them and we like Physician's Care in Belpre (by Kroger) or Quick Care over by Value City Furniture in Parkersburg. We have been to Quick Care a few times and have only had to wait once for about 10 minutes and once back in the room we were seen right away.
Laura M. replied:
I saw Dr. Patel had really good reviews. Katrina, is it difficult to get an appt? Does he have a good personality? I LOVED our pediatrician in Texas. We were on the same page with doing one or two vaccines at a time (I fully vaccinate, just not all 7 at once or whatever). He was simply amazing. I'm just heartbroken we had to leave him!
Sammie A. replied:
Dr. Patel might be difficult to work with with the vaccination schedule. I had friends who went to him and they had to switch because of that very reason. I go to Dr. Berhane and she is amazing. We do an alternative vaccination schedule and she's been amazing about it. We fully vaccinate but don't do anymore than 2 shots at a time. I highly recommend Dr. Berhane.
Sammie A. replied:
St. Joseph campus. 304-424-4106.. that's her number!
Courtney H. replied:
Dr. Orton Armstrong and his team are great!!! I highly recommend them.
Stacey E. replied:
We go to Dr Caslow in Belpre. She is through Marietta Memorial. She has always been able to see my kids the day they get sick unless she is off. Marietta has 4 or 5 doctors in the same office just in Marietta so they have been seen there too. Great doctors and great hospital!
Jessica B. replied:
I love Dr. Brett Wolfe - he is amazing! Very down to earth, not sure he's on board with delayed vaccines though. I always tell people to stay away from Dr. Whitaker (sorry Kayleigh). I won't get into stories, but I'll just say that he will never touch any of my children.
Kori K. replied:
We go to mid Ohio valley medical group. They are a family practice. My daughter and I see Dr. Darcy Conner, she specializes in women and kids. My husband and son see her husband Dr. J.T. Conner. They are wonderful. We have had a positive experience. Like · 1 · Yesterday at 3:18 pm

Katrina S. replied:
That's my doctor as well. My son goes to Dr. Patel, who is at the St Joseph's campus. If you're wanting to get in quickly and can't get in with a Ped, you may want to try Med Express.
Shannon V. replied:
Dr.Brett Wolfe is great! Very good at what he does and very down to earth! We just love him I tell everyone I know to go to him!
Amber C. replied:
I take my children to Dr. Miniya Berhane-pediatrician.
Miranda D. replied:
Dr Berhane is great
Katrina S. replied:
Dr. Patel is not hard to get into. He answers the phone himself most times, and calls back if you can't speak with him when you originally call. Landon spiked a fever and had really bad stomach pain last week and we went right in and they saw him. His bedside manner is sometimes off putting to some people, and it has sometimes caught me off guard, but he is a good doctor. I am not sure about the vaccination schedule thing referred to above. Everyone is definitely going to have different opinions about different doctors I know we have seen Dr.Miller (on Garfield) when Dr. Patel was out of town and Landon liked him a lot, too. As a mommy, I do wish that Dr. Patel was a little more nurturing with his patients, but he does know his stuff.
Kaleigh M. replied:
Jessica Boyce. It's ok. Everyone I've talked to about him either loves him or hates him. I just happen to be one of the ones who loves him. I had issues w your dr, so to each their own.
Brittany L. replied:
We really enjoy the staff and care at Dr. Armstrong's office! Have been very satisfied since switching from a Pediatrician we did not like as much.
Amy E. replied:
We go to Dr. Patel. He is very knowledgeable and has been very good at diagnosing my children's illnesses. He was fine with altering the vaccination schedule for my kids. I do not like to have more than 2 vaccines per visit. We worked out a schedule that I was happy with. Only once did we have to have more than two and we were able to have the MMR by itself. It meant going more often, but that was ok with me. My oldest is 13, so we have been going to him for a while. If you go, have your questions ready because he is very fast. It also means the wait time in the waiting room is shorter than most. I give him a very strong recommendation.
Anyone know of any good pediatricians? I would prefer Athens or Parkersburg. Gallia would be too far for us.
Jay G. replied:

Brittiany B. replied:
We absolutely love love love Dr Armstrong!!! love!!!!
Kayla R. replied:
Where at? We have Dr. Berhane but anymore she's just way too busy and half the time she never calls back or just brushes it off. Lyrik has had diarrhea for 2 1/2 weeks and I've done everything she said it's not gotten better and she still won't see him. It's bull crap. I think either he has developed a food allergy or is sick with something.
Niki Y. replied:
I see Dr.Renee Caslow in the new marietta memorial branch they just built in belpre. I love her and she came every day, after her office hours to check on the twins at the hospital.
Stephanie H. replied:
Dr. Rutter is amazing...she's on maternity leave soon though, but Channing loves her.
Haley S. replied:
Marietta Memorial is really nice too because they have a Pediatrician on call 24/7. And you always talk to a Doctor. I love it.
I am going to be needing a pediatrician very soon. Anyone have any suggestions?
Jessica C. replied:
Prakash Patel was mine and is now my kiddos. He has very strong feelings on keeping them healthy and preventing the illness/issue instead of just throwing meds at them.I really trust him.
Alexa J. replied:
Dr. Whitaker was mine, he's very good and really nice too!!:)
Chandra B. replied:
Brett Wolfe is Baylors and he's awesome!!
Sara D. replied:
Dr. Whitaker is who we take Aubree to. He is great, doesn't have the.best bedside manor, but he is basically available to us 24 hours a day. I couldn't be happier that he is her physician.
Our P. replied:
Dr. Patel! I love him!
Kim S. replied:
Ort Armstrong is wonderful
Rachel K. replied:
You know Dr. Whitaker is a little different... But he's a damn good dr. Remember when he took Zoe's prescription to the pharmacy after hours before a holiday? And one of my favorite things is if you call with an issue or question, they'll go track him down and get an answer for you before you hang up the phone. I hated waiting hours for a call back from Berhane's office.
Im starting to think about Pediatricians for our daughter, anyone have any suggestions or pos/neg experiences with any of the ones here???
Maria D. replied:
Yeah I am, I had Russell Miller for Aidan & was not impressed, so i'm looking around, ill lyk what I find
Craig D. replied:
Charles Whitaker. Was mine and my kids pediatrician. He's very blunt but a great and experienced doctor.
Michelle C. replied:
My friend uses Dr Brett Wolfe and absolutely loves him.
Christy C. replied:
NOT Dr. Milhoan
Carrie H. replied:
Dr Cook or Dr Caslow are both very good. They are in Belpre though. I work for Dr Cook now.
Tessa G. replied:
Love love love Dr. Patel. He's very straight forward, but you can tell he loves his job and is great with the kids.
Brittany T. replied:
Dr. Patel. He is amazing. Very straight forward, fast, super nice. He answers his own phone a lot, returns your calls, works you in quickly and there's hardly ever a wait. I love him so much!
Tanna G. replied:
I take my kids to Dr. Brett Wolfe (riverview pediatrics) (I think it's the same building as miller but they are not affiliated) he is the most awesome Dr EVER! ! ! I was thrilled when I switched to him. He's really helped get things rolling on getting a diagnosis for our son. Where his other Dr did diddly squat for the 2 1/2 years under her care)when we knew something was wrong that he wasn't talking.
Christina W. replied:
Brett Wolfe is awesome!!! Austin loves him. He is great!!
Does anyone know of a good pediatrician around here that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance? The guy that we go to now is really good with Enzo but his office is...
Kristen G. replied:
When I was little I went to Dr Jacoby at Marietta memorial. There were a couple other doctors in the same office who's names arent coming to mind, but I think Dr Jacoby is still there. I'm pretty sure I've always had BCBS insurance.
Sam K. replied:
Renee Caslow is amazing
Lisa P. replied:
my granddaughter go to Dr Patel the love the office
Judy A. replied:
All of our grandchildren go to Dr. Ohley in Marietta. He is a DO and has others in his office, who will see children fairly quickly if he is not available. He does not over prescribe antibiotics either.
Pretty upset with Kendall's pediatrician's office... Anyone know a good doctor that is with the Camden Clark medical system? All I wanted was a call back! Maybe that's...
AndyandMisty L. replied:
Brett Wolfe. He is great but he is always so busy! Not good in emergencies.
Amanda M. replied:
Dr Tomlinson
LeAnn S. replied:
We go to Dr. Berhane, sometimes there is a long wait. She is wonderful! Dr. Berhane has done a lot for Bricia. She got us in to see a ped. GI specialist from UPMC. I'm very pleased with her. Hope this helps!
