Hello Melissa, I have the above listing currently available. Located in Thousand Oaks for $1450 per month. -- As a renter the typical fees (and they vary depending on the office, owner, and property) would be an background, credit application + fee for those who live in the property and are over the age of 18 (takes 2-5 days). A security deposit of approx. 1 month value of rent and the 1 st month of rent prior to receiving keys to the home. Pet(s) are on a case basis again depending on size, number, breed and landlord guidelines, and most always with an additional fee or deposit. Lawn care varies and is typically is not included with rent. Utilities are an tenant responsibility, but Home Owner's Association fees are typically paid by the Landlord. Most properties are available for a 1 year written lease, and it is very rare to find a lease-option or Rent-2-Own as our market changes frequently. As far as the best way to search for home would be to use REALTOR.COM, the information is updated every 5 minutes and directly from the MLS source, I would suggest saving a search based on your criteria. Other websites may hold outdated listings or misleading advertisements. Summer usually takes a toll on our inventory when many families move when schools are out and also Coast Guard and other branches send orders to relocate in May/ June months. Overall, many agents do not assist in locating rentals, due to the fact that it is not very lucrative, and often very time consuming and frustrating.
