Same thing just happened to us. Valley Appliance is in that area and was great. Really liked working with them.

We just had ours fixed and I thought I needed a new set. Eagle Rock Appliances. Peter was awesome, had our machine up and running in 30 minutes and fixed our light in the laundry room while he was down there. he charged a fraction of what we'd been charged elsewhere for other appliances. Don't know if he works out your way, but definitely worth a call.

ALL the new washing machines are cr-p because government regulations have forced the manufacturers into making machines that don't use water and they're all controlled by computer circuits that fail within two years (call any repair guy and they'll confirm my statement) The exception are Speed Queen washers that are made for commercial applications. We got ours about three months ago. That top loader has gotten our clothes MUCH cleaners than the old front loader. It set us back about $900, but it'll last at least 20 years.
