[Groomatorium,](https://groomatorium.com/pages/hours-and-directions) in Ontario, CA, is run by the guy who makes Chiseled Face. Great selection. And he's a great guy.

In the LA area, there's [The Shave Shop](https://yelp.to/qTKq/CnH2KUuWmO) in West Covina. It's small but it is a barbershop with a bunch of wetshaving stuff.

You could try [Old Town Shaving](https://www.shoppesatstats.com/home-page/old-town-shaving/). They're about 45 mins east of you. They're also going out of business soon (I think the guy is retiring), so you may want to call in advance.

I thought it was just me. I miss Old Town, but its not the same. Too expensive and looks no different from the Farmer's Market shopping center off of Fairfax in mid-town and Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Before it was eclectic with moms and pops, some chains, etc. Even if you were broke, you still can make an evening of going to Old Town and window shop, checking out the stores, antique shops, etc.

I prefer the Altadena Barbershop at the top of Lake, 16 dollar hair cuts with straight razor for the neck, sideburns, etc

I would recommend Sports Clips at Colorado & Sierra Madre for the cheap hair cut. I go there all the time without an appointment and have never had a bad cut. 4.5 stars on yelp.
