I looked at Jeff states website and they only have a program for dental assistant not a hygienist....

Uab does not have a program anymore. Wallace State and Fortis has a degree program. The dental board for the state has a preceptorship program where you have to be employed by a participating dentist. You have to have been a dental assistant min 3 years.
