Now that it is getting warmer I am starting to run a little later in the evening, meaning that it is sometimes quite dark by the time I'm finishing.
Can anyone offer...

I have one of these I have put over the top of my gear when running at night or dark early mornings. Its super light weight so good in summer, I also have a sleeveless vest and jacket which I use in winter. Jennifer J. replied:
S2: we got ours from www.cubbykraft.com Really great sturdy product if you take your time to build it correctly, it will last for years to come. If it's for Christmas make sure you give yourself enough time to build it!! We underestimated how long it would take! Esp in the summer heat!
Can anyone point me in the right direction, I am looking to get a couple of those hand held water bottles (kettle shaped), has anyone come across any in the shops here...
Abdul-Raouf M. replied:
I haven't seen any but I would try Running Warehouse. Someone told me if they don't have an item you want in stock they can order it for you. There's even a chance it could cost you less than purchasing online. 52 Mccoy St Myaree 6160 9073 You can even get a Zoolander discount :)
I've used my trusty Karrimore one for years. I bought it from Sports Direct in the Uk. Their branded sports clothing is very good value too. They deliver to Oz. if you need new clothes too it may be worth throwing in one of these

There's a few stores floating around, but buying online is simple with large distributors having print out lasts for various models allowing you to size rather easily.

> He's a fan of Allen Edmonds, but they can only be bought online, which can be a little risky with shoes (he'd like to be able to try them on) If he is going for just shoes then the sizing with AE is pretty consistent. I have three pairs, all the same fit. I haven't got any of their boots though, I'd also be wary of buying them online without trying them on first.

Gingers for Gentlemen on Murray Street up near Country Road.
extra-long-pubes replied:
Bit late to this, but Id recommend Pediwear,. Its a UK shoe store but their online service is brilliant. If he tells them what Last and size his AE's are they'll be able to recommend the right sizing. They stock most well known English shoe brands. All goodyear welted, handmade leather shoes. Pricing better than anything you'll find in Perth. Im a shoe nut and I get the majority of my shoes online. Never had a size problem

I've been trying to find a good website to buy running shoes, that deliver to Perth? Can somebody recommend any?
Geoff R. replied:
wiggle.co.uk
Heidi M. replied:
Yes can't forget the service also Ryan Martin Geoff Reynolds . Very knowledgable. They will also fit you and determine your running style etc to make sure u get the correct shoe
Cormac C. replied:
wiggle.com.au is great if you are well read up and know exactly which running shoes you need. Otherwise the advice and service from local hero and the peoples champ Alex Dreyer at the running center is invaluable if your unsure and need some advice, likewise resident Biomechanist Ben Green , often referred to as the Roger Federer of the human movement field, will be able to help with every aspect of your running- from technique to specialized coaching programs-to take your running experience to the next level.
Jon S. replied:
Wiggle won't ship Asics to Aus. Take a look at the UK Runners World website http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/shopping/shopping.asp?v=6 for other companies that will deliver to Australia. I bought from http://www.startfitness.co.uk/ they charge for postage but the total bill is often cheaper than wiggle.

Hi guys just wondering if anyone could let me know what dr anna Holmes is like as an obstetrician ? Thanks in advance
E asks:
Hi, not really kiddie related but...
Emma B. replied:
T- I had Anna Holmes for baby 2 and 3 after baby 1 had a stroke during labour thanks to poor care, she is no nonsense, straight to the point and doesn't muck about, she supported my choice to trial vbac and she and her nurse Marie were there with support and advice when I had complications with bub 3. She is expensive but if I have another baby ill be booking in with her! S - tippy toe walking can be caused by physical, neurological or developmental issues. I would get a referral to a paediatrician to get it checked. Don't ask for a referral, go in and tell the dr you are there for a referral
Fiona M. replied:
this is a nightmare if you dont deal with it......get a referral to the State Children's Health centre on riola st in West Perth.....toe walking can either be caused from neurological issues or by the fact child is above their hight range for their age. if possiblr start massaging the calves and get them to stretch their legs out and then push their feet back. if child doesnt grow out of it....then they will need serial casting.....Helen the physio at the Childrens health centre is amazing........saved us years of pain and future surgeries......
Karen K. replied:
Dr Holmes was my obstetrician for both my pregnancies and I highly recommend her.

Kate D. replied:
I had Anna Holmes and she was great! Much better than my previous ob! She is very clinical though, I could never get to to 'get' my silly jokes, but she was thorough and did the csec well!
Deb L. replied:
S - This link http://www.pmh.health.wa.gov.au/general/CACH/child_development_centres.htm will give you a list of child development centres within perth that are staffed by multi-discplinary teams that you can self refer to or get a gp referral. They can assess your child and decide on the cause and treatment of toe walking.
Lisa B. replied:
Anna Holmes was my ob for both my children and I absolutely loved her and would definitely recommend her. Her midwife Marie is just so lovely also and you're not charged for visits with her (making the overall cost to see Anna comparatively low when compared to other obs - at least it was back when I was researching for my first pregnancy). You'll need to book in quick though!
Sharon C. replied:
Anna Holmes delivered my first at Armadale private but we gave her a miss for the second as her pricing had gone up so much it was unbelievable !

Dr Holmes did both my deliveries and was fantastic
