Have to mention Pewsey Radio for all things electronic. They have matched anything we could have found elsewhere when you take delivery and service into account, and can order stuff not in the shop. We have bought from them (all still working!) a big american fridge freezer, and larder fridge, TV, DVD, Sky+HD box, Cooling fan..... Alway such nice people too.

Thank you Mandy Humphreys for writing the initial post, this is really helpful as we too have moved to the area 2 weeks ago from Marlborough area so these recommendations are so helpful. I also run the advertising at Marlborough News Online (we cover the villages also) and am keen to help and promote local business. Equally keen to help people into work by having a constant flow of jobs coming in on our jobs page, so please pass on to anyone in need www.marlboroughnewsonline.co.uk/jobs

You sound very similar to us Marina as we also moved from Marlborough 6 weeks ago. Pop in and see us at our business, Stove Hunters at Harepath Farm in Burbage if you are passing. (or anyone else for that matter).

Would recommend Marshalls Bakery too - best bread for miles around! I would also recommend Stephens Garage, they do what's needed, well, at a good price, and with no sucking of air through teeth (Other garages may be good too). The Cossors shop is good for thing you thought you would never need.:D

People should always try to support local businesses in Pewsey! It's vital for their survival. Most locals complain that there is nothing in Pewsey, but there is, it's just not properly supported. Feedback is so crucial to the owners. Wool shop fantastic, prospect great! There are loads of great businesses creating a life for those of you that are disabled or unable to drive. There are some great locals whom will strive to help and support local business. Keep it up Pewsey, keep you're independence, your rail and all of the other fantastic parts of Pewsey.
