National Museum of Jewish History hosts weddings. I’m sure they will have kosher options. I’ve never gone to a wedding there but have gone to weddings in other museums and they were super fun and different than your normal catering hall wedding.

Some BYO Catering spots that come to mind that can host 125: * Fleisher Art Memorial [https://fleisher.org/rentals/](https://fleisher.org/rentals/) * MAAS Building [http://www.maasbuilding.com/spaces](http://www.maasbuilding.com/spaces) * Bahdeehabdu [https://www.bahdeebahdu.com/](https://www.bahdeebahdu.com/) *incredibly beautiful art gallery* As for Kosher Catering, Garces and STARR catering would be able to accommodate. Although I highly recommend to check out [Birchtree Catering](http://birchtreecatering.com/), they are delicious and source locally.

If you google "Kosher weddings Philadelphia" it'll pull up a list of caterers, and you can see what sites each works with, includin nontraditional ones.
http://hortevents.com/ the horticultural center is amazing and offers kosher catering. If you’re thinking of a DJ check out https://nomacarena.com/ Or https://www.vinestreetdjs.com/
My friends were married at Smith Memorial Playground in Fairmont Park. https://smithplayground.org/parties/ Very nontraditional but still a really beautiful venue with lots of history. They had about 125 and were able to swat everyone on the porch out back with dancing inside. BYO caterer.

Lots of good leads here, but I'd just be extra vigilant if you're orthodox. I've never seen so many kashrus authorities represented in one place as I have in Philly, and I think only Momma's Vegetarian is certified by an orthodox agency. I could be wrong, but I know that there's a lot of looser agencies out there.
Hey guys! I'm looking for a nice restaurant around city hall and the lowes hotel area downtown. It needs to have options for non vegans too. My family is in town and...
Su Xing House has some options that use egg (and maybe turkey or chicken?? Idk, but those are on the menu with a tiny picture of a bird next to it). Located at: 1508 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19102 which is very close to city hall. I love the atmosphere there.
Adrienne S. replied:
Or how about Plough in the Stars? Over in old city, but fabulous food and cozy atmosphere. I haven't been in a while but last time I https://www.facebook.com/1426532680973504 Philadelphia Chef Lenka Zivkovickovic was thrilled to accommodate vegans and there was vegan food on the menu! Edit: I realize this isn't near city hall, but I'll leave it up just in case?

Here is the public transit site it will be easy to get to center city or the stadiums b/c the orange/broad st line goes right to them. http://www.septa.org/
I would love to go, but I haven't been able to find any reasonably priced hotels near city hall in philly. Suggestions?
Susan E. replied:
Try over on the NJ side. The Trenton/Ewing area. There is a small railroad station in West Trenton where you can get the SEPTA into Philly. If you want to fly try Fronteir airlines into Trenton airport which is a mile away from the train station. Here is a link to a hotel right near both of them. http://www.elementewing.com/

TheTwoOneFive replied:
Look down by the airport, also look at Priceline.com's Express Deals or Hotwire.com. Both sites have options lower than retail pricing in exchange for you not knowing the hotel you are selecting. For example, you may know you are getting a 3* hotel (think brands like Holiday Inn or Courtyard at that level) in Center City East recommended by 85% of Hotwire travelers and some of the amenities it has, but it would be $110 vs $199 for the same hotel off of Hotwire.

If you're gonna have a car, check hotels outside of center city. If not, doubt you'll find anything for under $125

did you try Club Quarters? I just plugged in May 1 through May 5 for Philly at Kayak.com and they came up with $136 per night.

HotelTonight has a room at Hilton (11 th and Arch) for $154 or the Marriot (12 th and Market) for $155 both are prime center city locations with easy access to public trans. There are plenty of ‘$25 off your first booking’ codes floating around the internet that will bring you in under budget!
Hello! Trying to plan a last minute trip to Grand Canyon. Can anyone recommend a hotel you stayed at? Did you fly to Las Vegas or Phoenix? Also which tours did you...

Flew to Las Vegas. Rented a car and drove to Zion and Bryce parks in Utah stayed overnight in Springdale ut then made our way to Grand Canyon. Enjoyed this stop at Grand Canyon https://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/desert-view.htm You can also drive from Las Vegas to see Hoover Dam them stop overnight in Williams closest to GC. It will be hard to find lodging last minute inside GC. Haven't been but heard great things about waterfalls at GC. https://grandcanyon.com/planning/south-rim-planning-planning/havasupai-falls-arizona/ All depends how many days you have too. Have fun!
