Dog boarding Has anyone ever boarded their dog at the Petsmart pets hotel in fairlakes? I'm leaving my pup for 4 days I know it's not that long but it's his first time...

My husband is a manager at the Potomac Mills Petsmart and I can assure you that they treat the animals very well at his store, he does not stand for any different. He has a reputation in the company as a fixer and they have sent him to a hand full of stores to turn around in the 10 years he has worked for them. He went to that Petsmart a little over two years ago because animal control threatened to pull their license. Since then that particular location has done a 180 and is now in the top ten pet hotels for the country. If you are in need I highly recommend the Potomac Mills Petsmart pet hotel.

Old Town Pet Resort in Springfield and Beds and Biscuits in Alexandria/Springfield are great. First one is pricier. Both offer not just boarding and walks, but all day play times during the stays, which may or may not be a thing at a pet store.

I live in the area and our dogs vet, Town and County Animal Hospital also offers boarding down the street. We've used them a few times and have always been pleased.

Pets mart gives me shudders, I highly recommend fur-get-not for boarding. I live out in Herndon and will make the drive to board my dog there for extended trips. They actually take the dogs for walks unlike dogtopia where they piss and shot on the floor, group play time, separated by size/temperament, and isn't locked in a cage 24/7. My dog always comes back happy from fur-get-me not. That or rover for the personal touch

Check out Rover.com. Shoot me a PM and I can send you some codes for $75 off the first time you use it. They have everything from boarding in people's houses, to somebody staying at your house, to just walks/visits.

We REALLY liked Affectionate Pet Care in Fairfax. It's cage free boarding so the dogs play all day.

Always take my dog to country club kennels in catlett. It's definitely a hike, but she spends her entire day outside running around, instead of in a little room with 15 other dogs.

We board ours at Petsmart in Tyson's. Never had an issue.

I use [Three Dog Night](https://www.facebook.com/ThreeDogNightOnKilkenny/) and it is hands down the greatest boarding in the world. It's a very small organization, just one person and some part time help, and she only takes about 6 dogs at a time so you have to reserve early, but it is totally worth it.
She has 4 fenced acres so your dog gets to play outside most of the day. When the dogs are inside they just hang out in her farmhouse, so no cages or kennels. You get daily pictures and updates on Facebook, and the rates are extremely reasonable.
She will usually meet you in Manassas for pickups and dropoffs, but even when she can't I'll happily drive from DC out to Marshall because it's just so much better than regular boarding.

My poor pooch had a terrible time at Pender last summer. I still think he hasn't forgiven me! I wouldn't recommend them.
Coming back to the area for a few days. Any recommendations for a reasonable hotel would be greatly appreciated. I would like to spend up to $80 per night. Thanks in...
