Okay peeps...there is an animal disaster team on the ground in AL and MS and they need to know if we need them. I need EOC or animal shelter numbers in your area.

We have only 2 or 3 at our shelter. We have been closed for maintance this week so that's why we haven't gotten more. The few we have belong to a man who is in the hospital because of the injuries from the storm. He lost his home and now his animals. I don't know who he is, just that he is from Cherokee Co. Need help for the animals before it's to late!

You really need to get your local authorities to contact the HSUS or the ASPCA. When the tornado struck Macon Co. TN in 2008 they were extremely helpful. They even have mobile shelters. Also try contacting the Wilson County DART (Disaster Animal Response Team) They have a website. I don't see why they couldn't help you. They also helped Macon Co. TN in 2008
