Anybody remember, Mr. Powers shoe shop on 7 th Avenue in Norton back in the 1950's? That was Francis Gary Powers' father. I remember going over there and visiting with him while Gary was in prison in Russia. The shop was next door to my grandmother's women's dress store, The Smart Shop. We still have shoe shops in my neighborhood, and I frequently use them.

Darlene I take all my repairs to SHOE WIZ in Kingsport next to Pal's and Big Lots. The guys name is Harold and he use to be in the same building as Burlington. Does great work..
