Dawn, this is the product that I just put in my hall, kitchen and laundry room... my floor has a slate appearance, but there are wood patterns.I have laminate in the family room - which the dogs also live in http://www.armstrong.com/flooring/products/luxury-vinyl

Lois Gaspar got some lovely tile that looks like slate but much more flexible and it comes in wood like pattern. Check with her. I'd get the same if replacing flooring now.

Be very careful right now. Anyone that is good, and fairly priced, is EXTREMELY busy. I have a small business that supplies builders and kitchen/bath remodelers, and they are all booking out several months out, or even next year.
